The Highlands residence: historic house, meet modern function
The complete renovation of a stately estate home in The Highlands was a commission that required exceptional craftsmanship and team coordination from start to finish.
The estate home had architectural character in spades, but lacked modern functionality and a sense of “family friendliness”. The design and construction process included bringing all systems up to current standards, significantly revamping the interior spaces, and creating a wine cellar.
Of special construction note: Historic house renovation requires sensitivity to (and respect for) period architectural elements. For all historic home projects, we know we’ve done our job when all that is new appears seamless in context of the original house design.
