Snoqualmie River Valley barn: sustainable, natural beauty

In what was a unique project for Prestige, our firm partnered with a commercial organic produce concern to construct a sustainability barn that would serve two primary functions: preparing crops for market and as an educational facility for in-city school children. Built on the grounds of a 100-acre historic family farm, the undeniably beautiful barn utilized salvaged and certified wood materials, concrete, and metal. It was also designed to tolerate periodic flooding.

Of special construction note: Prestige managed the intensive regulatory inspection process related to building in a flood plain. The firm’s expertise and consistently clear communications with King County inspectors kept the project on budget and schedule.
