Madison Park residence: sophistication and security
A residential lot in the highly prized Madison Park neighborhood was transformed by the completion of a low-maintenance home designed for a couple with sophisticated tastes and a very busy lifestyle. The owner’s passion for stone (both as a building and landscape material) is evident throughout. Of particular note from a design and construction standpoint: a basalt spire water feature on the home’s rear terrace. Inside the home, caramelized bamboo casework and dark-stained white oak are complemented by the use of fossil stone, mosaic marble and shoji glass. Given the owner’s desire for maximum privacy and security, the entire property is surrounded by architectural-grade fencing.
Of special construction note: Teamwork and clear communication was key to achieving optimal results as design specifications evolved during the construction process. Long-term relationships with specialized trade contractors was key to executing custom design features.
